Otto, thank you so much for preparing new packages for utopic. I built
them successfully locally, so I'm uploading to the build servers now.
The only thing I changed is the version, to 5.5.40-0ubuntu0.14.10.1, to
match the version 5.5.40-0ubuntu0.14.04.1 from trusty. (Note the .1 at
the end.)

I believe the next security update would be an ideal time to unify the
packaging of mariadb-5.5 for trusty, utopic, and vivid if appropriate.
Since every mariadb release is going to fix security bugs, it doesn't
necessarily make sense to release a newer version into -updates, and it
feels a little bit like busy-work to me to perform the package
unification in -updates using the 5.5.40 just so we can re-import it for
a future 5.5.41 release in -security.

If you'd rather perform the unification soon, because you're thinking
about it and ready, you certainly can do it through -updates. But
waiting for 5.5.41 makes sense to me.
