I'm using ubuntu 14.04, recently upgraded from 12.04 where simple scan
was working fine. I'm using a Brother ADS-2000 (I've also been unable
to connect to a Brother MFC-J875DW). I've very carefully followed the
directions on the Brother website for installing just about everything
associated with these two pieces of equipment. Here's the output from
