Public bug reported:

After installing the kernel panics at the first boot from harddisk with
the following error:

EIP: [<f8a9f5b1>] cpqhp_ctrl_intr+0x191/0x680 [cpqhp] SS:ESP 0068:c03e7ee8
Kernel panic - not syncing: Fatal exeption in interrupt

The kernel from the install cd never panics, i tried with feisty, gutsy and
even debian 4.0, all with the same error.
Another old DL380G3 in our network running Debian 3.1 with a 2.4.x kernel is
running fine ever since.

I tried with kernel parameter "acpi=off" but got the same results as
above.

** Affects: kernel-package (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
