@kyle-mallory unfortunately no. it got rejected upstream for lacking
information. currently, i'm trying to figure out whether or not lightdm,
lxsession or both are the problem.

what i can tell you so far is someone tried to do it with lxdm and got
the same problem on a regular account. lxdm has its own issues, so i'm
not sure what we can conclude from that, but it sort of suggests the
problem lies with lxsession.

since you have found out about the shell script not being triggered, can
you tell me what's trying to execute it?
