Dear Christopher, After my last comment I updated the system by running apt-get update && apt-get upgrade. After that, the NVIDIA card stopped working, but was still recognized. So, I wswitched to the nouveau driver and ran purge nvidia* in order to clean install the latest nvidia driver. After that however, I had the initial problem back, not even finding the card, but the BIOS version is now 216. output: K52Jc.216 01/25/2011
