May this problem be involved in issues with graphic card settings such as XGL /
AiGLX?
I've got a GeForce FX5200 and this is the "Device" section of xorg.conf with
some enabled options :

Option "AllowGLXWithComposite" "true"

I've Compiz-fusion installed but currently I don't use it.
