Ah, I didn't realize it, but PPID seems to be an already defined
environment variable. I choose it not realizing this. So in your case,
it may be a permission issue and may affect other users at some time or
another. I will change it to use some other variable name like
PARENT_PID or something. We will use this bug to track the PPID issue.
