This is fixed in utopic, and I don't quite have interested in backporting this 
fix to trusty.
The backport should be trivial to create and modify the bug description with a 
refactored test-case.
A begginer to intermediate contributor to Ubuntu development should be able to 
make the necessary steps to fix this.
