Even though the problem reported is of a DKMS module failing to build, my output with 'dkms status' shows that NVIDIA is properly installed:
$ uname -r > 3.16.0-25-generic $ dkms status > bbswitch, 0.7, 3.16.0-24-generic, x86_64: installed > bbswitch, 0.7, 3.16.0-25-generic, x86_64: installed > nvidia-331-updates, 331.89, 3.16.0-24-generic, x86_64: installed > nvidia-331-updates, 331.89, 3.16.0-25-generic, x86_64: installed > nvidia-331-updates-uvm, 331.89, 3.16.0-24-generic, x86_64: installed > nvidia-331-updates-uvm, 331.89, 3.16.0-25-generic, x86_64: installed > virtualbox, 4.3.18, 3.16.0-24-generic, x86_64: installed > virtualbox, 4.3.18, 3.16.0-25-generic, x86_64: installed Also did some testing, and it didn't break the driver.
