You can reproduce this using LXQt or XFCE4 notifications with Vertex theme. I must insist it's not a Lubuntu theme specific bug. It happens with multiple environments, with other themes.
Another question I have is... why the hell is xfce4-notify using a panel background for himself, even ignoring xfce-notify-4.0 theme (gtkrc) file? Bitmap "panel-bg.png" inside gtk2 folder is used only for the panels, in XFCE or Gnome (and derivatives) desktops. It has no sens that xfce4-notify uses it. ** Attachment added: "notification screenshot" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-notifyd/+bug/1337303/+attachment/4270474/+files/Screenshot%20at%202014-11-29%2001%3A52%3A16.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1337303 Title: xfce4-notifyd uses tiled image as background To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-notifyd/+bug/1337303/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
