It happened again today (with latest updates - 9-10-07).
Here is "sudo ifconfig -v eth0" when the interface stalls.
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:16:E6:8F:6A:DA
inet addr:192.168.1.100 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:2059023424 (1.9 GB) TX bytes:100934158 (96.2 MB)
Interrupt:16
And, when it's working:
eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:16:E6:8F:6A:DA
inet addr:192.168.1.100 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0

collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000
RX bytes:2059064538 (1.9 GB) TX bytes:101003583 (96.3 MB)
Interrupt:16
"sudo dhclient eth0" doesnt fix it.
But, "sudo ifdown eth0
sudo ifup eth0"
fixes it. Sometimes after ifdown&&ifup it stays up for a minute or so
afterwards, requiring another ifdown&&ifup. Then it will work for
hours. I have only been casually browsing the web (no heavy load)
lately. It doesn't seem to be heavy-load or stress- induced.
Log entries (seem to all correlate to the simple "sudo ifdown eth0 &&
sudo ifup eth0". There was nothing in the log pertinent to this problem
prior to my executing ifdown&&ifup.

This is a problem. How should I debug it?
