This is because cinepaint does not handle the URI format file:///<yourfile> ,
which is used by nautilus to pass the argument to the program. An easy way to
fix it is to define a custom command for this type of files (right click ->
properties), and set this command to [cinepaint "$@"] (without the []), and then
cinepaint should be able to open your images.
