Public bug reported: In Ubuntu 14.10, with both prereleased and unsuported backport repos enabled (or not), the "gramps" app complains at startup that the "GExiv2" and "OsmGpsMap" modules are missing.
There's a thread which lists a bunch of packages which gramps requires at http://linuxforums.org.uk/index.php?topic=11784.0 But the version of the packages listed there are not available in the Ubuntu repos. REQUEST: Include all needed packages in the Ubuntu repos, AND put the necessary dependencies in the .deb so they will get installed automatically. STEPS TO REPRODUCE: apt-get install gramps gramps (click through the two warnings about missing modules) ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 14.10 Package: gramps 4.0.4+dfsg-2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.16.0-26.35-generic 3.16.7-ckt1 Uname: Linux 3.16.0-26-generic x86_64 NonfreeKernelModules: nvidia ApportVersion: 2.14.7-0ubuntu8 Architecture: amd64 CurrentDesktop: Unity Date: Thu Dec 11 23:38:19 2014 InstallationDate: Installed on 2013-08-06 (493 days ago) InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 13.04 "Raring Ringtail" - Release amd64 (20130424) PackageArchitecture: all SourcePackage: gramps UpgradeStatus: Upgraded to utopic on 2014-11-10 (32 days ago) ** Affects: gramps (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug third-party-packages utopic -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1401789 Title: gramps package is missing dependencies To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gramps/+bug/1401789/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
