Public bug reported:
On an older Dell laptop with a RT73 chipset wireless USB dongle,
wireless works fine on boot. If I open pidgin, within 20 seconds the
wireless is gone, and "dhclient wlan0" reports that there is no such
device. If I cntrl-alt-F5 to tty5 its just tons of repeating messages
saying "unregister_netdevice: waiting for wlan0 to become free. Usage
count = 0". Rebooting will not fix it at this point, and I have to
reboot, take the device out, and put it back in to connect.
This may be a problem with pidgin but I was informed it could be a
problem with the networking of Gusty also.
