Google decided Chromium to be a completely libre browser, while Chrome
to contain the privative parts that some people want Chromium to have.

What is the point of patching Chromium for getting a second Chrome?

If you don't care about libre software to be the standard, and Hollywood
to be who chooses how your computer shall behave, you can simply install
Chrome from <https://www.google.com/chrome/browser/desktop/index.html>.
