Public bug reported:

laptop boots fine but with blank screen.
ctrl+alt+f1 switches to terminal 1 with text login

Then doing trl+alt+f7 switches back to login screen with graphics and has no 
issues.
Login and everything else works fine afterwards.

Some mentioned SSD may cause this and I experimented with some delays i
lightdm.conf but didn't change anything.
