Sorry, still not fixed. When plugging in a Sony TV set with HDMI, it is not recognised without using VLC to kick start the recognition. Once recognised, removing the Display Port plug and re-inserting it sometimes removes the HDMI menu item and has it re-appear but not predictably so. Sometimes the TV set displays the message Audio Source not recognised. The video works alright but the sound system output recognition still needs improvements. The Display Port adapter used is an Apple adapter from Display Port (now known as Thunderbolt) to a standard HDMI male to male lead. (The new Apple MacBook Pros now have a dedicated HDMI connector and can therefore use a standard HDMI cable - Dell take note!)
I shall look forward to the next kernel update. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1402666 Title: [XPS13 9333, Intel Haswell HDMI, Digital Out, HDMI] Playback problem To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1402666/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
