You have been subscribed to a public bug: I wanted to test gstreamer's pipeline functions in command line using Jono Bacon's tutorial. I thus ran
gst-launch-1.0 filesrc location=mysong.mp3 ! decodebin ! audioconvert ! alsasink And this error came up: ERROR: pipeline could not be constructed: no element "filesrc". I dug a little through the google searches, and using gstreamer- inspect1.0, I was able to list all the installed plugins. Amazingly, *none of the coreelements plugins are present*. Is there a way to fix this? Is there a packet that might have been forgotten in the 13.10-14.04 update process? PS: I have troubles with *all* the gstreamer-dependent application on my 14.04 install so this is probably related. ** Affects: gstreamer1.0 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Gstreamer 1.0 has missing core elements https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1405001 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
