Public bug reported:
On Asus N551JM there is no sound from external subwoofer on fresh
Kubuntu 14.10 installation. There is no "Bass speaker" in alsamixer.
Adding "options snd-hda-intel model=asus-mode4" to /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-
base.conf makes "Bass speaker" appears in alsamixer but I was unable to
make it play any sound. On Win8 works out-of-box.
Alsa-base version: 1.0.25+dfsg-0ubuntu4.
Howto fix: redirect pin 0x1a to "Internal speaker (back)" using
HDAJackRetask on codec Realtek ALC668. Contents of /lib/firmware/hda-
