Feel free to close this bug, I rebooted from the original Windows 8 drive and couldn't get the sounds to work either, even when re- installing the sound drivers. It's just silent, even though sound output registers in the volume control. So it would appear that this might be a hardware issue. I'll have lenovo take a look and if I have further issues I'll open another one referencing this one.
Fwiw, apparently sounds can be routed through the mini-DP port (via HDMI), but I do not have an adapter so I did not try. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1406177 Title: [20ANCTO1WW, Realtek ALC3232, Speaker, Internal] No sound at all (speakers or headphones) To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/alsa-driver/+bug/1406177/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
