Apparently when I was looking for a way to globally assign the media keys to work with every program, I thought that these lines somehow had something to do with it not working as it should. I suddenly remembered the change and switched it back as I thought it didn't do anything. However, it did in fact disable the key to be executed as a command. Re- adding it fixed the issue and the key now works as it should do.
Could someone please explain to me why this is the case, and if there's a way to remove the dependency of xbind as it clearly isn't needed for any of the other media keys. Thank you for your cooperation. ** Attachment added: ".xbindsrc" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1406262/+attachment/4290426/+files/.xbindsrc -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1406262 Title: Unable to set shortcut to media key PlayPause To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xfce4-settings/+bug/1406262/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
