For desktop 14.04 LTS I can confirm that Chromium apps are a reasonable solution to the problem here. Following that, I now have what I wanted, which is my calendar in the dock. Full instructions: https://support.google.com/chrome/answer/95710?hl=en
I'd like to add that from the desktop user perspective, shipping something like this seems like terrible product management. I get that you need to experiment. But please don't have an LTS release eagerly suggesting I use features that are below a reasonable usability bar (like calendars and email clients where paste doesn't work). On three separate occasions I've tried running down the problem. It was only this time I figured out the right incantations to find this bug, only to discover that this was known not to work, and that was apparently the intended release behavior. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1264493 Title: No Paste option in web page entries To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/webbrowser-app/+bug/1264493/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
