Upgraded my Asus EeePC to 14.10 (from 13.10) and I now also have this
problem. Workaround of binding xrandr --auto to a hotkey works, but
automating that according to comment 205 does not for me. I also tried
automating it by creating an event handler in /etc/acpi/events/ but that
also failed.
