Public bug reported:

Running the following command

    plink -V

It outputs

    plink: Unidentified build, Oct 14 2014 09:01:04

The real version number (0.63) is missing!

On windows I get

    plink: Release 0.63

Being able to get the right version is important as scripts may like to check
that it is recent enough before using it.
