So, I tried to execute
$ sudo /etc/init.d/cryptdisks stop
and got
cryptdisks stop/waiting
instantaneously. So stopping works fine. In fact, when I tried it for a second
time, I got
$ sudo /etc/init.d/cryptdisks stop
stop: Unknown instance:

On the other hand, starting freezes:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/cryptdisks start
(nothing is shown after that is executed)

FYI: this is on Ubuntu Studio 14.10.
