@Christopher, it seems new maintainers have stepped up: http://sourceforge.net/p/remmina/mailman/message/33228595/ The source code has been moved to Github with more activity as well as a sourceforge.net possibly becoming obsolete for bug tracking in the future.
I have also reported this problem here: https://github.com/FreeRDP/Remmina/issues/441 as I ran into the same problem with just the xfreerdp built from source on 15.04. I can't seem to add the the upstream bug report as launchpad doesn't recognise it.
