The log file from comment #19 shows that xfwm4-power-manager does not
inhibit sleep on lid close (the key "handle-lid-switch" is missing for
"Inhibiting systemd sleep"). We will have to wait for the output of the
xfconf-query command.

Now, b3nmore, the bottom line of your feedback is that the bug does not
affect utopic with default settings. Also, why should the default value
for logind-handle-lid-switch (false) be changed? Your screen staying
blank may have a different cause.
