Steps to reproduce:
1. Start irssi
2. Connect to irc.freenode.org, join a random empty channel
3. Paste/type a long line from an irssi client (at least 450 characters long)
What should happen:
All the characters should be sent, if the line is too long it should be split
into multiple lines
What really happens:
irssi claims to send all of the characters (they all show up in the senders
window fine), but really only sends about 450 of them.
