Public bug reported:
Scenario: using "get mergetool" to resolve git conflict.
When "show line numbers" is enabled in prefernces - the arrow symbol
(for picking these changes) is not shown on the right pane.
Steps to reproduce:
1. Enable "show line numbers" in Meld preferences
2. Restart Meld. [before restarting Meld things initially seem OK - both the
left arrows and line numbers are shown]
3. Get into git conflict and try to resolve it via git using "git mergetool".
- actual result: on right pane there is no visible left arow symbol
** Affects: meld (Ubuntu)
