Well, I tried to download and build util-linux 2.25 from kernel.org, and messed up the mount/ umount with error messages like: mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.25' not found (required by mount) mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.23' not found (required by mount) mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.21' not found (required by mount) mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.24' not found (required by mount) mount: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libmount.so.1: version `MOUNT_2.22' not found (required by mount) Then I added ppa:flexiondotorg/util-linux to apt and run a update/ dist-upgrade. Everything went fine now. But the question is: why not to bring a new util-linux to Trusty Tahr default stream?
