Even when the system concedes to detect the Built-in Speakers, a Mode window appears offering a choice of Stereo or Dolby 5.1 that belongs to the HDMI output via the Display Port. It is necessary to plug in a set of headphones in order to select between the Speakers or the Headphones and update the display to just the Test Sound button by itself as appropriate for these devices.
