Which upgrade is that?

I've been on and off trying to get this card working since I installed
Feisty back in May. My system is totally up to date, minus backports
and proposed. It worked perfectly in a Debian testing/unstable I was
running.

In my system, the card 'works', but it's horribly slow and likes to die
randomly. Throughput doesn't seem anything like it used to be. Playing
an mp3 over nfs is enough to kill the device (solid activity light) and
watching video is out of the question. Doing a `ifdown wlan0` hangs the
device and either requires a reboot or possibly `/etc/init.d/networking
restart ` to correct, until the next time.

uname -a:
Linux Raven 2.6.20-16-generic #2 SMP Fri Aug 31 00:55:27 UTC 2007 i686 GNU/Linux

lspci:
03:00.0 Network controller: Intersil Corporation ISL3890 [Prism GT/Prism
Duette]/ISL3886 [Prism Javelin/Prism Xbow] (rev 01)

My system log is filled with the following:
Sep 13 18:49:30 Raven kernel: [945460.312000] WEP decrypt failed (ICV)
Sep 13 18:49:30 Raven kernel: [945460.312000] wlan0: RX WEP frame, decrypt
failed

A search only suggests the key is wrong or something, which I've changed
and checked plenty of times. Is it maybe something wrong with the
wireless tools? Upon first boot, it detected and configured the card
(after I gave it the WEP key). Second time (after installing nvidia
drivers), it suddenly said it was "manually" configured, which I didn't
touch.

Any help with this would be much appreciated.
