Same problem. Like in Martinas' story everything worked great and I did nothing special, but yesterday after tring 'prime-select nvidia' I got a black login screen. Tried reinstalling drivers and all other stuff like that, with no luck. I just noticed that then I've got this black login screen I can suspend my laptop (by closing it) and after restoring sometimes - not always - I've got a normal unity greeter. It's not a solution, not even a real workaround. Anyway this bug sucks, aspecially because it just suddenly appered without any good reason. :/ Just fix it!
