This appears to potentially be the same bug as https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg/+bug/1393169.
As mentioned there, I have the same problem in Utopic AMD64 with MATE 1.8.1; this began immediately on my upgrade from Trusty to Utopic and continues to the present. I have a double mouse pointer appear intermittently during web browsing (Firefos 35.0.1), often when click- dragging a link to open in new tab, and then it persists. Although two pointers are visible only the left pointer is active. If I log out and back in, the single mouse pointer is restored. This is a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510P with the latest BIOS, and I am fully updated on Utopic AMD64 with no broken packages etc. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1414778 Title: Click and draw of certain links results in double mouse pointer To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/firefox/+bug/1414778/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
