Ubuntu Studio 14.10 64 bit, I fixed it as follows:

1. Opened gedit as root

2. opened  /etc/default/locale

3. During the Ubuntu install, I told the installer English language and
English Keyboard but the installer assumed I wanted Spanish for
everthing else . because of my IP or maybe the time zone I selected
(Tijuana). So I changed all values as follows;

LANG="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NUMERIC="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TIME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MONETARY="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_PAPER="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_NAME="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_ADDRESS="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_TELEPHONE="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_MEASUREMENT="en_US.UTF-8"
LC_IDENTIFICATION="en_US.UTF-8"

Now everything within Ubuntu is English US including Orage. Some websites still
come up in Spanish, but that is a different issue.
Why Ubuntu assumes users want a language different than what was specified
during the install I consider a bug, but hopefully this workaround will help.
