I can't do it for a while, I discovered the bug after rebuilding my main work machine with a new mainboard, CPU and RAM. Now it's running the 32bit version of Kubuntu happily, and I'm using it. (I'm a freelance tech writer/journalist).
I do have a second machine that I keep as a spare, once I'm sure this one is OK and I'm certain I've copied back all the files on that I created while this one was in pieces then I might experiment with it. That said I've only ever once replaced a kernel, many years ago when I was playing with Linux rather than relying on it for everyday use, so it might be a while before I figure out what I'm doing. -- Phil Thane www.pthane.co.uk Tel: 01978 861677 Mob: 07582 750607 On Wednesday 04 Feb 2015 18:27:19 you wrote: > Would it be possible for you to test the latest upstream kernel?
