i just tried to repartition my disk. if i just delete all the partitions, fdisk finishes without errors. if i make new partitions, fdisk gives this warning: WARNING: Re-reading the partition table failed with error 16: Device or resource busy. i also noticed that the number of cylinders is way to high for this size of disk. the output of fdisk -l:
