The problem persists even with the kernel 3.16.0-30-generic.

I use a laptop HP Envy 17 and run Linux Mint 17.1 "Rebecca" (Mate
64bit), based on Ubuntu 14.04 "Trusty Tahr".

The fix suggested by Adnan (

 ) let the bluetooth adapter to be recognised when running
 
rfkill list all

However, I can't find any relief following this additional solution:
