I presume that -l actually means -I (for Info). The output is the same for mozilla-browser, mozilla-firefox and firefox: dpkg-deb: failed to read archive `mozilla-browser': No such file or directory dpkg-deb: failed to read archive `mozilla-firefox': No such file or directory dpkg-deb: failed to read archive `firefox': No such file or directory
firefox was installed using synaptic (and it was then uninstalled and re-installed, using apt-get). I noticed that I get exactly the same for whatever package name I enter. The version given in synaptic is 1.5.dfsg+1.5.0.5-0ubuntu6.06-1 -- Firefox will not start under Dapper 6.06 https://launchpad.net/bugs/60138 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
