Phillip, Thank you. Looks like I have found a solution. I rebooted back on windows, I deleted the partitions created previously and restarted again on Ubuntu. Them this time the installer works well.
The only one issue is when I turn on the laptop, I am not starting on grub as used to happens on a BIOS based laptop. Instead I am booting on windows always. The only one way to boot on Ubuntu is pessing F12 key during the boot and choosing to boot on legacy HD device. But for this I will google a solution that is probably already documented... Everything is working really well, including suspend, hibernate or even the touch display! : ) Please close this ticket as resolved. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1422301 Title: Failed to install grub at sda along side Windows 8.1 on an UEFI laptop To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/grub-installer/+bug/1422301/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
