Here is my two cents: I had the same problem. I did what #15 ( https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1293384/comments/15 ) suggested and, so far, I only have a spike periodically (primarily when I do anything with the windows and when I switch workspaces).
I did not do the part about editing the /usr/share/gnome- session/sessions/ubuntu.session file as that change removed my action bar (the bar on the left side with the ubuntu icon). I think this might be a step in the correct direction, in terms of a work around. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1293384 Title: Compiz CPU usage dramatically increased in Ubuntu 14.04 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/compiz/+bug/1293384/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
