Public bug reported:

Sometimes when I unplug a display xfsettingsd crashes and functionality
is reduced. This bug is present in both 14.10 amd64 and the March 1st
daily amd64 build.

This mostly happens with DVI or HDMI displays that are currently
disabled (but were previously enabled) plugged into the mini-displayport
on my Thinkpad X230, but I have had it happen with docked monitors too
(native displayport). Not running the Display application seems to make
reproducing this bug easier.

Running xfsettingsd from the terminal will restore full functionality.

** Affects: xfce4-settings (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
