Andrea, rkward doesn't use a patch system so making changes directly to the Makefile.am is appropriate.
I don't understand why the .desktop uses konsole to start rkward. I loaded rkward fine from konsole and gnome-terminal. I think that it is very nasty to restrict rkward to konsole (and konsole is not a dependency). I think Terminal=True should work. If not that is a bug upstream at least.
