Binary package hint: notification-daemon
wishlist: it would be nice if one could control which popups do/do not
appear in the notification area (for instance, i would like to not see
"connected to wireless network ...." every time i log in to my machine).
currently some applets let you do this themselves (i.e. gnome-power-
manager). would be nice to have a central place for these settings.
