Using Hyper-V Manager, if a user tried to set a VMs media to none, the request would fail if the OS on the guest had taken out a SCSI lock. No notification was sent to the guest. Hyper-V will now send the equivalent of a media tray eject button press interrupt to the guest before failing the media remove request. This will give the guest the opportunity to release the lock.
The new behavior was confirmed by testing on build 10031. Using a VM running Ubuntu 14.10, the media remove behaves the same as on a laptop running Ubuntu 14.10. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1177148 Title: DVD medium locked and not released by Ubuntu on Windows server 2012 and OS133/134 To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1177148/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
