I'm not able to confirm this in krillin 14.10 r252.
The strange thing is wasn't any work done on the brightness controls in
the last two months, and there's nothing in the changelog indicating
anything related to it landed since this bug was reported.
Michael, Saviq, are either of you still seeing this bug?
