Public bug reported:
We saw this error when trying to install PTS in a 14.04 system, and I've
been able to replicate it in an LXC container with 14.04.
- Ensure doc-base is installed
- sudo apt-get install phoronix-test-suite
Expected result:
- A working installation with no error messages during the install
Actual result:
- A working installation (so it's not a horribly critical issue, things work)
- This error:
Processing triggers for doc-base (0.10.5) ...
Processing 3 changed doc-base files...
Error in `/usr/share/doc-base/phoronix-test-suite', line 7: `Index' value
missing for format `html'.
Note: `install-docs --verbose --check file_name' may give more details about
the above error.
I was able to reproduce the error message if once PTS is installed I
run:
sudo install-docs --verbose --check /usr/share/doc-base/phoronix-test-suite
Error in `/usr/share/doc-base/phoronix-test-suite', line 7: `Index' value
missing for format `html'.
/usr/share/doc-base/phoronix-test-suite: Fatal error found, the file won't be
registered.
The workaround/fix I found is to edit /usr/share/doc-base/phoronix-
test-suite and add this at the end (right after the last line):
Index: /usr/share/doc/phoronix-test-suite/phoronix-test-suite.html
