If I'm not mistaken, this is the same issue reported in bug:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/terminator/+bug/819775

The problem can be avoided by killing ibus-daemon or by going, in Unity,
to System Settings -> Language Support and setting Keyboard input method
system to none which won't start ibus-daemon on next restart

Doesn't fix the error though (the root cause why ibus and terminator
can't play nicely with each other)
