Hi Bryan, I understand your use case. However, CCSM is not architected at all to handle system wide configuration changes- it's only per user.
I'm going to keep the UNITY_LOW_GFX_MODE env var in place. I think for your case, setting it in the upstart script or some other system wide config is the best bet. I would still like to add the option in CCSM for users to set low graphics mode regardless of hardware.
