I'm stuck with this for some time now. I can't even remove mysql-server because
whenever I try to use apt I get:
E: dpkg was interrupted, you must manually run 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' to
correct the problem.

because I have to kill the process to get rid of the configure screen.

Running 'sudo dpkg --configure -a' just get's me stuck at the same
selection screen in both the GUI and terminal.

I'm using Xubuntu 14.04. The fix in the thread suggested by Daniel
Felipe doesn't work for me.
